Lescott set for Villa exit

Joleon Lescott is expected to head a summer exodus at Aston Villa, according to the Mail Online.

The central defender has faced criticism from a number of the Villa faithful following both his performances on the pitch and his behavior of and he could now be set to leave after just one season at B6.

The former Manchester City man has made twenty-seven appearances in all competitions with all but on of them coming in their disappointing league campaign.

His one and only goal for the Villains so far came in a 1-1 draw at Southampton back in December.

Lescott began his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers before moving on to Everton, City and then West Bromwich Albion before switching to Villa last summer.

He has one goal in twenty-six appearances for England but hasn’t represented his country since playing in a 1-1 World Cup qualification draw with Montenegro back over three years ago.
