Liverpool and Manchester City are interested in signing Ola Aina from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window, according to TBR. While Premier League leaders are looking for a potential replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, defending champions Man City are eyeing a move for the Nigeria international as a long-term successor to Kyle Walker, who is on loan at AC Milan at the moment.
Aina joined Forest in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer following his departure from Torino. The 28-year-old full-back has scored two goals and made one assist in 28 Premier League games this season and scored one goal and made one assist in 22 league matches in 2023-24.
Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 70 points from 29 matches, while Forest are third with 51 points from 28 games and defending champions Man City are fifth with 47 points from 28 games.
