Liverpool considering Draxler loan move

It is no secret to the footballing world that French super club PSG are desperately trying to offload many of their players in order to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions. One man who has been heavily linked with a move away from Paris is Julian Draxler, and the Germany international has attracted interest from the likes of Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

Reports this week however suggest that Liverpool could be the front runners in the race to acquire the midfielder’s services, and according to the Liverpool Echo the Merseyside club are looking to bring Draxler in on loan.

The versatile midfielder, who has also been frequently deployed as a winger, is in just his second season with the Parisian giants, but his game time has been sporadic at best. Draxler made just 17 appearances in Ligue 1 last season and the arrival of both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will likely only limit his minutes further.

With a World Cup coming up next summer Draxler will need to impress at club level in order to force his way into the Germany squad, and a move to Liverpool could provide the midfielder with the perfect opportunity to fulfil his potential.
