Liverpool move for Gravenberch

According to numerous relevant sources, Liverpool have finally taken concrete steps towards signing Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich. The young midfielder is willing to make the move to Anfield. There is no agreement between the clubs as of yet, but the talks are progressing.

Liverpool were said to be interested in Gravenberch even before he left Ajax to join Bayern, and the links were brought up again in April this year when the Merseysiders gave up on signing Jude Bellingham. There was, however, very little movement on that front as Liverpool worked on the signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, as well as on ultimately doomed attempts on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

Now, with just two days of the transfer window left, they’ve obviously decided to make their move, lest another summer goes with their midfield ranks left too thin.

As for Bayern, they’re not opposed to the sale, but they will need a replacement, and to that end they’ve reportedly contacted Chelsea about Conor Gallagher.
