Following the sacking of manager David Moyes at Manchester United, the question of who will replace him is being heavily speculated upon. But the biggest favourite is Louis Van Gaal. The Netherlands manager is being tipped to be the one to take over the Lancashire outfit for the new campaign, as he’s already said he’ll be leaving his post with the Netherlands after this summer’s World Cup.

Van Gaal, 62, boasts a good record at club level, wining titles with Ajax, Barcelona, AZ Alkmaar and Bayern Munich, but he’s had his poor moments too, with his sacking at Munich in 2011 his last time in club management.

Ladbrokes are giving odds of 5/4 for the Dutchman to be the next man at the helm of Manchester United, but many other names have been linked – with Borussia Dortmund’s Jurgen Klopp, Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone, and even long-serving midfielder Ryan Giggs are high up on the list.

A decision is expected to be made at the end of the current season.
