Luisao not close to Fiorentina move

Luisao’s agent has denied that the Brazilian defender is close to a move to Italian giants Fiorentina.

Luisao has been linked with a move to the Viola in recent weeks, but the Italian side have not been in contact with him.

The highly rated is currently in talks with Benfica on a contract extension.

“I have not had any contacts with Fiorentina so far,” Giuliano Bertolucci told Correio de Manha.

“My client loves it in Portugal and I believe his club will let him go only if presented with an offer that matches the rescission clause which is included in his current contract: €20 million.

“Furthermore, we are now in negotiations with Benfica to find an agreement over a contract renewal and things are going well.”
