Lyon will look to stretch an unbeaten run that stands at 11 league matches when they host Auxerre in Ligue 1 action on Wednesday.

Claude Puel’s side sit fourth in the standings, a point off leaders Lille, and will look to head into the winter break on a high with victory over an Auxerre team that have won just four of their 18 league games this season.

Lyon defender Anthony Reveillere credited his side’s never-say-die attitude for their unbeaten streak, which stretches back to September.

“We don’t give up, we don’t give up no matter the score, if we lead or if we are dominated, we try to make a good result,” Reveillere said.

“It’s a good undefeated run for us; it would be good if we are still undefeated after the game on Wednesday.”

Reveillere was also quick to rule out any complacency among the squad ahead of the three-week winter hiatus.

“There are still 90 minutes, with a big effort needed,” the 31-year-old French full-back said.

“We have to be prepared, don’t think about holidays too early and produce a good result to finish well this year.”
