Man City to launch shock Eden Hazard bid

Not wanting to be outdone by their eternal rivals Manchester United’s acquisition of Alexis Sanchez, Premier League leaders Manchester City are reportedly set to launch a shock bid for Chelsea star Eden Hazard, according to the Mirror.

Such a stunning move will take a £150m bid, if reports are to be believed, and would be one of the highest-profile transfers in the history of the English top flight.

Hazard has been the Blues’ star player for nearly six seasons now, and if he were to make the switch to the Etihad it would turn City into an even more fearsome prospect.

Pep Guardiola’s side already have a 12-point lead over United, but the Red Devils have been strengthening their squad in this January transfer window.

Hazard has registered eight goals and two assists in 20 Premier League appearances, and, should he make the switch to Manchester, City could be in place to secure a dynasty of dominance in the English top flight.
