Man United meet with Jorginho’s agent

Premier League super club Manchester United are clearly not content with simply nabbing Alexis Sanchez from rivals Arsenal in this January transfer window as they are also reportedly eyeing Napoli midfielder Jorginho, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils currently occupy second place in the table, and find themselves 12 points behind eternal rivals Manchester City. While the Cityzens look to have run away with the title, United seem to be consolidating their squad for both the Champions League and next season’s Premier League campaign.

Jose Mourinho’s target Jorginho has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford for some time now, and reports suggest that United’s representatives have met with the midfielder’s agent. The Italy international is in his fifth season with the Serie A club, and has registered two goals and three assists in 19 appearances during this campaign.

With Michael Carrick set to retire soon, and the future of Marouane Fellaini in doubt, Jorginho could be the perfect addition to Jose Mourinho’s squad.
