Manchester City 4/6 to beat Manchester United and over 1.5 goals in Wednesday’s Premier League clash

Competition: Premier League

Market: Manchester City win and over 1.5 goals

Odds: 4/6 @ Bet 365

In what could be Manchester City’s most important match of the season, the Sky Blues will make the short trip to Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of an embarrassing display in their 4-0 defeat away at Goodison over the weekend, it appears that Manchester United have slumped back to their old ways. With some now questioning Ole Gunnar Solskaer’s permanent arrival, the Red Devils have lost four of their last five outings and saw their European dreams come to an end at the Nou Camp earlier in the month. Now looking unlikely to secure another top four finish, fans around Old Trafford will be growing more concerned by United’s struggles at the back. Shipping seven goals in their last two matches, Wednesday’s hosts have not recorded a single clean sheet in any of their last 11 appearances.

As for the visitors, although Tottenham may have ended their dreams of completing a quadruple-winning season, Pep Guardiola’s side once again have the chance to reclaim their spot at the top of the Premier League. Taking a 1-0 win off of Spurs at the Etihad on Saturday, the former Barcelona boss has seen his side win their last 11 top-flight matches on the bounce and it is once again unsurprisingly their form in the final third really spearheading their charge. Holding the best attacking tally of any side across Europe’s top tiers and picking up a 3-1 win when the two sides met back in November, we’re backing a similar result on Wednesday.
