Manchester United turn to Huntelaar

After a fruitless, long and painful campaign to sign Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov, Manchester United have turned their attentions to Dutch goal machine, Klass-Jan Huntelaar, according to The Independent.

Tottenham have refused to budge in their £30 million evaluation of Bebrbatov and Manchester United are unwilling to pay that much for a 27 year old striker. Instead they believe that they could get Huntelaar for less, according to the aforementioned report.

The Dutch striker has already expressed his interest in playing for a Manchester United earlier this summer claiming that: “It’s a club that makes me dream, especially as Ruud van Nistelrooy played there and did great things with them.”

Judging by the news that man utd has know focus on another player is a welcome development.Had it been that man utd are chasing two striker at the outset it would have been easy.it will be my gratest joy if man utd could sign Huntelaar ahead of Berbatov

In my opinion, signing Berbatov, if success, is good, but at the moment it seems like it’s will never happen. Roque Santa Cruz’ve just signed a new four years deal with Blackburn. Huntella, for me, is still not good enough, as at the moment he’s still behind Robin Van Persie, Van Nistelrooy, Ryan Bable, etc. in the Dutch side. So,… Read more »
