March 15th: Wednesday’s Football Accumulator – 8/1

With the Champions League once again taking center stage in midweek, we have a stacked schedule from across Europe on our hands. So, for those of you looking to place a Wednesday acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Wednesday March 15th

BST 19:45 Hull vs Burnley

Laying down what was another Championship marker over the weekend as they cruised their way to a 3-0 romp against Wigan, Burnley have only continued on a history-making run this season. Despite losing their Premier League status last year, Vincent Kompany’s side are breezing their way towards an immediate top-flight return in 2023. Holding a remarkable 13-point buffer at the top of the table, the ex-Manchester City skipper will simply be calling on his side to make another statement here. In fact, Wednesday’s guests are unbeaten in each of their last 18 straight appearances across all formats – a run that stems all the way back to a 2-0 loss against Premier League giants Manchester United on December 21st. Likewise, signing off February with a routine 4-0 victory against Huddersfield, Kompany’s men have continued to shine with their defensive displays. It should be highlighted, Burnley have conceded just a single strike over the past month. Punching their FA Cup quarter-final ticket earlier in the month after coming past League One outfit Fleetwood, Hull will know that they face a real challenge on Wednesday night. Although the Tigers might have dragged themselves away from any potential relegation scrap, they have picked up just a single win from their previous six attempts. While the midweek hosts might have continued on an eye-catching flurry at the KCOM since opening 2023, we are expecting an away victory for the Championship heavyweights here.

Tip: Burnley win & Under 4.5 goals @ 11/10

19:45 Blackburn vs Reading

Looking to make an immediate return to winning ways on Wednesday night, there is no doubt that Blackburn should be smelling a real chance here. Glad to travel back to Ewood Park after eventually getting hit with an action-packed 3-2 loss away at Stoke last weekend, Jon Dahl Tomasson’s men will still find the mood in their camp at a real high. Currently leading the chase to snatch a play-off spot in 2023, the midweek hosts have lost just one of their last 11 straight matchups across all competitions. With that run stemming all the way back to January 14th, the Rovers have also picked up some heavyweight scalps. Extending on their FA Cup adventure last month after claiming a 2-1 victory away at Premier League outfit Leicester, Blackburn have also continued to shine on home soil. It should be noted, Tomasson’s side have won each of their last three showdowns at Ewood Park by a 1-0 scoreline. Likewise, last seen in front of their own supporters edging past automatic promotion contenders Sheffield United, the Lancashire-based outfit will be looking to cash in on a struggling Reading. Putting in another toothless display last weekend as they slumped to a 1-0 loss at home against Millwall, Wednesday’s guests have now lost four of their last five Championship appearances. With that run underlined by a remarkable 5-0 drumming away at Middlesbrough on March 4th, we are backing a home victory here.

Tip: Blackburn win @ 19/20

20:00 Napoli vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Making an immediate return to winning ways last weekend as they claimed a deserved 2-0 victory at home against Atalanta, Napoli are enjoying what has been a famous campaign at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Cruising their way towards a first Serie A crown since 1990, Luciano Spalletti’s high-flying squad have only continued to gain a string of plaudits from across Europe. Likewise, along with winning eight of their last nine appearances across all formats, Wednesday’s hosts really laid down a Champions League marker last month. Moving themselves into pole position to punch their quarter-final ticket after picking up a 2-0 win out in Germany on February 21st, the former Inter Milan boss will be calling on a repeat display here. Gaining a real reputation for their free-scoring displays in the final third, Napoli will be calling on the red-hot Victor Osimhen to spearhead their European charge in midweek. Along with bagging a first-leg strike out in Germany last month, the Nigerian marksman has already notched 21 strikes for the Italian heavyweights this season. Simply looking to avoid a Champions League upset here, Eintracht Frankfurt should be set for another huge challenge on Wednesday night. Now without a win from any of their last four straight appearances, it should also be noted that the Eagles have shown some extended problems on the road. In fact, the German outfit are enduring a six-match winless run away from Deutsche Bank Park.

Tip: Victor Osimhen to score anytime @ 6/5
