Nemanja Matic has is on the verge of signing a new lucrative deal with Chelsea which will see him net around £93,000 per week, according to the Express.
The Serbian international has been in sublime form since returning to Stamford Bridge in January 2014, making fifty-five appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.
Prior to coming back to England, the 26 year old played ninety-eight times for Benfica, scoring nine times and winning three trophies along the way.
Matic has also played for Jedinstvo Ub and Kosice in his native Serbia and Eredivise side Vitesse, who he joined on loan from Chelsea during his first spell with the club.
Jose Mourinho’s side currently sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League, but on Wednesday turn their attention to their Champions League last sixteen second leg with Paris Saint Germain, with the tie finely poised after the sides drew 1-1 in the French capital.
