Mbappe doesn’t want new PSG contract

According to French outlet L’Equipe, Kylian Mbappe has told several people at Paris Saint-Germain that he has no intention of signing a new contract with the club. However, he doesn’t rule out the possibility of remaining in the French capital for the final year of his current deal and leaving next summer on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old forward, who already has a World Cup, a Champions League final, four Ligue 1 titles and three French cups behind him, has recently been at the centre of attention due to missing the penalty which saw France lose the round-of-16 shootout to Switzerland and bow out of the ongoing European Championship.

Mbappe has been mostly linked with a switch to Real Madrid, but at PSG they’ve been doing everything they can to try and get him to see the Ligue 1 giants as his future. President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has reportedly taken a personal interest in the matter and has taken the main role of negotiating with the young star on himself.
