Mbappe likely to remain at PSG next season

Kylian Mbappe isn’t very likely to leave Paris Saint-Germain next summer, according to Julien Laurens, ESPN France correspondent.

Mbappe has been linked most heavily with Real Madrid, and recent reports spoke about the alleged interest of Juventus and Liverpool as well. But Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp quickly dismissed the rumours for strictly financial reasons, saying that the Champions League holders simply cannot afford Mbappe, Laurens believes the same applies for the rest of the reported suitors.

He says that PSG currently value Mbappe between €300 and 400 million, which he doesn’t think any club can afford to spend on one player. Apart from that, it is his guess that PSG winning the Champions League, or France winning the Euro 2020, would add another €50 or 100 million to the price tag each. It means that the Ligue 1 Champions could, in theory, end up demanding well over €500 million for the services of the forward who in that case would have won the World Cup, the European Championship and the Champions League, all before the age of 22.
