Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has announced the exact date the English midfielder David Beckham would join the club for his second spell at the San Siro.

“He will be in Milan on December 28, when the team will resume training after the Christmas break,” said Galliani, quotes MilanNews.it.

Beckham moved to the San Siro during the Major League Soccer off-season last January, initially on a three-month loan deal, but impressed so much his stay was extended until the end of the Serie A campaign.

He returned to Galaxy in the summer after helping Milan to fourth in Serie A with two goals in 18 league appearances.

The Italians announced on Monday that the former England captain would return to the San Siro on a six-month loan deal leading up to the 2010 World Cup.

LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham has also confirmed the same and revealed that his sole motive behind the loan move to Milan is to boost his chances of being in Fabio Capello’s world cup squad. However, England’s boss has warned the 34yr old to stay in top shape and play at highest levels if he wants to be in the world cup line-up.

“2010 World Cup is the only reason I am choosing to be away from my family for six months,” .Beckham told Fox sports Radio.

“Anyone who knows me knows how I feel about my children, about my wife and my family and I hate being away from them. Being away from my family and my children kills me.”

“Being in the World Cup squad is not guaranteed, even if I go to Milan it is not guaranteed, but I need to do everything possible to give myself a chance. “
