Milner set for new City deal

Manchester City midfielder James Milner is set to sign a new contract with the club, according to the Mail Online.

The England international has appeared in all but two of the Premier League champions’ games in all competitions so far this season, taking his all-time City appearance tally to one hundred and seventy-one.

He gained rave reviews for his performance in Wednesday night’s victory over Roma – a result which sealed their progress to the knock-out stages of the Champions League.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men could even round up the week by climbing to the top of the Premier League, despite leaders Chelsea having seemed as if they had one hand on the trophy just two weeks ago.

The Blues lead at the summit was cut to just three points following last week’s results, and City, who are now priced at 11/4 for the title, could claim top spot on Saturday if they win at bottom of the table Leicester City and Chelsea lose to Hull City.
