Continuing to enjoy what has been a stellar campaign in the Western Conference, a high-flying Minnesota United will welcome Orlando to Allianz Field on Sunday.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of a 1-0 win at home to Colorado and climbing back to second in the West, the mood in Minnesota’s camp is on a high. With a US Open Cup Final to look forward to against Atlanta later in the month, Adrian Heath’s men have tasted just one domestic defeat since the start of June. With a spot in the play-offs all but confirmed, a huge part of their continued success has been their form at Allianz Field. Including their victory over the Rapids last weekend, Sunday’s hosts have won each of their last three matches in front of their own supporters and have lost just one MLS home match in 2019.

As for the visitors, although Orlando may have managed to pinch a hard-fought 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Sporting KC in midweek, the Purples still find themselves in the midst of a struggle. Now losing their play-off spot in the Eastern Conference, James O’Connor’s men have also continued to show some glaring issues on their travels. Including a 4-1 hammering away at New England last month, Orlando have also recorded just a single away victory since the 1st of June. Given their continued issues outside of Florida, we’re backing a high-flying Minnesota to extend their winning run this weekend.
