Moratti coy on Inter deal

Inter president Massimo Moratti refuses to be drawn on rumours that he is to sell his majority stake in the club.

Reports in Italy suggested that the 68-year-old was ready to accept a €300million offer for 75 per cent of his controlling interest to Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir.

Moratti has admitted in the past to holding talks with Thohir over a significant investment in the Serie A side.

But he would not reveal any new information about potential developments.

“I was informed about (the stories) and I read them myself this morning,” he said.

“I keep learning about what’s going on thanks to the newspapers.”

When asked if any meetings were scheduled, Moratti merely answered “No.”
