Mourinho hints at Terry deal

Jose Mourinho has hinted that John Terry is on the verge of being offered a new contract at Chelsea, according to the Mail Online.

The Blues captain is set to be out of contract in the summer, but continues to perform at the highest level for the Premier League leaders.

Aside from a brief loan spell with Nottingham Forest in 2000, the former England skipper has spent his entire career so far with the London club, racking up over six hundred and thirty appearances, scoring fifty-seven goals and winning a whole host of trophies along the way.

Chelsea dropped two points at Sunderland on Saturday afternoon after being held to a goalless draw by Gus Poyet’s side though they are six points clear of reigning champions Manchester City who currently sit in second place.

They host Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow evening and can be backed at 2/5 to take all three points.
