Napoli president claims Hamsik and Cavani staying put

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is adamant that star players Marek Hamsik and Edinson Cavani are not going to leave.

Marek Hamsik has been linked with a move to AC Milan, whereas Chelsea and Real Madrid have reportedly shown interest in Cavani.

However, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis insists that the pair will remain at San Paolo.

“Hamsik has already signed his contract extension with Napoli and will, therefore, continue his adventure with us,” De Laurentiis told Il Correire dello Sport.

“As will Cavani, who is very happy in Italy.”

Napoli chairman is determined to help the Azzurri continue their uptrend in fortunes and he has so far resisted temptation to cash in on his star players.
