Napoli will not sell Hamsik

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has told interested clubs that they are not interested in selling Marek Hamsik.

The Slovakian international has been linked with several of Europe’s biggest clubs, including a summer switch to Juventus.

But Laurentiis insist Hamsik is not available at any price.

“Hamsik is untouchable,” De Laurentiis told Sportmediaset.it.

“I think he will be the best midfielder in the world within a year, if he is not already.”

Laurentiis also commented on a move for Udinese hitman Fabio Quagliarella.

“Quagliarella to Napoli? He is a second striker, we need a centre-forward,” added De Laurentiis.

“In addition, we have many second strikers. We need someone who can play alongside Marcelo Zalayeta and German Denis.”
