Two sides who find themselves leading the Final Series chase, Nashville will welcome New York City to the Nissan Stadium in the early hours of Saturday.

Starting with the hosts, putting in another eye-catching display away at former MLS champions Atlanta last weekend, Nashville have continued to impress many across America this season. Sat in pole position to clinch another Final Series spot in the Eastern Conference, Head Coach Gary Smith has been quick to praise his side’s recent displays. Bouncing back from that shock 2-1 loss away at Inter Miami last month, the Yellows have lost just one of their last 13 straight matchups, a run that stems back to the middle of June. Looking to lay down another marker this weekend, the one-time Stevenage boss has seen his side gain a reputation for their performances on home soil. Including an action-packed 5-2 win against D.C. United at the Nissan Stadium last month, Nashville are yet to taste defeat in front of their own supporters so far this season.

As for the visitors, while New York might have gained a reputation for their inconsistencies over the past month, the Blues should be boosted by an impressive display last weekend. Managing to shock many as they landed a 2-0 victory at home against New England, that was just the second victory that Ronny Deila’s side had collected from their previous six outings. Knowing that they could face a tough trip to the Nissan Stadium on Saturday, the former Celtic boss has seen his side show a host of issues on the road. Last seen away from Yankee Stadium getting hit with a 1-0 defeat against Philadelphia Union, NYCFC have failed to win any of their last five MLS away contests on the spin, a run that stems back to the end of May. Given Nashville’s rampant form on home soil, we’re backing a home victory here.
