(GSM) – AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta could be out for the remainder of the season. Nesta has decided to have knee surgery tomorrow, March 15, the club said in a short statement on Milan’s official website.
The experienced stopper fell injured in last weekend’s goalless draw at Roma and hence had to miss Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League thrashing at Manchester United.
“Alessandro Nesta will undergo an operation on Monday, March 15,” a short statement on Milan’s official website read.
