Competition: MLS

Market: New York City FC win

Odds: 19/10 @ Bet 365

Looking to mount a charge up the Eastern Conference, New York City will travel to the MAPFRE Stadium in the early hours of Sunday.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of another very worrying display in their 3-2 loss away at the Colorado Rapids last time out, Columbus Crew have lost their last three matches on the bounce and have picked up just one win since the 7th of April. Also remarkably losing eight of their last nine outings and growing pressure on Caleb Porter’s role in Ohio, fans around the MAPFRE Stadium will be growing more concerned by their sides’ performances on home soil. Suffering a 3-0 hammering in their last appearance at home, the Yellow and Blacks have lost three of their last four matches in front of their own supporters.

As for the visitors, while New York City FC would have been disappointed to have just picked up a point away in Chicago last weekend, the Sky Blues are enjoying an eight-match unbeaten run, a run that stems all the way back to the end of March. Holding a two-match advantage over the teams around them and looking to mount a real charge up the Eastern Conference, former Manchester City coach Domènec Torrent will be growing more impressed by his sides’ showings away from the Yankee Stadium. Winning three of their last four matches on the road, NYCFC are also enjoying a five-match unbeaten run on their travels.
