Still dreaming of making a late push for the Eastern title, the Red Bulls will welcome a struggling Columbus Crew to New Jersey in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of a 1-0 win away at Orlando last weekend and now sat five points adrift of league leaders Philadelphia, Head Coach Chris Armas will be desperate to build off of their result last time out. Still continuing to shine in the final third, a huge part of New York’s Eastern title charge has come thanks to their continued displays on home soil. Including picking up a 2-1 win over NYCFC in the Hudson River derby earlier in the month, Sunday’s hosts have won three of their last four matches in New Jersey and have not lost a home matchup within 90 minutes since the start of May.

As for the visitors, while Columbus Crew may have managed to pick up a hard-fought 2-1 win over Montreal last weekend, the Yellow and Blacks still find themselves in a battle at the foot of the Eastern Conference. With just one MLS win to their name since the 9th of May, an 11-match run, it will undoubtedly be their continued issues outside of Ohio giving Head Coach Caleb Porter the biggest headache. Columbus have remarkably recorded just one away victory on the road this season with that victory coming away at New England on their opening fixture of the season.
