France Football has learned that New York Red Bulls are weighing up summer bid for French shot-stopper Jeffrey Baltus.

The 25-year-old is a free agent after leaving CA Bastia, but he has no shortage of offers at the moment.

Voted one of top three goalkeepers of last year’s National 1 campaign, France’s third tier, Baltus has offers from said division, but also from abroad.

While Turkish second tier side Giresunspor are also keen, MLS outfit New York Red Bulls are reportedly considering making a move.

Head coach Jesse Marsch doesn’t seem too happy with his current back-up options that include Ryan Meara, Evan Louro and Rafael Diaz, and he could step up his interest in Baltus.

The talented goalkeeper had come through the youth ranks at Auxerre, but never made a single appearance for the senior side.
