Newcastle United are interested in signing Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the summer of 2025, according to Football Insider. Calvert-Lewin is out of contract at Everton at the end of the season, and Premier League rivals Newcastle are keen on snapping him up on a free transfer.
With Everton in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, they are not keen on losing Calvert-Lewin in January. The Toffees will also demand £15 million for the striker, which Newcastle are not willing to pay.
Callum Wilson is out of contract at Newcastle in the summer of 2025. Newcastle’s plan is to let the striker leave as a free agent at the end of the season and sign Calvert-Lewin as his replacement on a free transfer. The Magpies, who are ready to sell Kieran Trippier, are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
