Nimes agree Yassine Benrahou loan

Nimes have agreed a deal to sign Yassine Benrahou on loan from Bordeaux, according to France Football.

Playing primarily as an attacking midfielder, as a number ten, the 20-year-old is also capable of supporting strikers from both attacking flanks. Even though he was born in France, he represents Morocco at international level.

Benrahou made only six appearances for Bordeaux this season, all in Ligue 1. He hasn’t scored a goal, but he did assist one. He started just once and came on from the bench five times. He sat three matches out on the bench completely, but in other games he wasn’t even named in the squad. It’s quite obvious the youngster needs to spend time at another club to get some valuable game-time under his belt.

The loan is set to last for the rest of the season, and Nimes will have the option of making the deal permanent when it expires.
