No pressure for Baffour

New Edubiase striker Emmanuel Baffour says he is not feeling under any extra pressure despite being on top of the Ghanaian League’s scoring charts.

The forward, who has netted nine times from 10 games this season, told the Ghana FA website he plans on continuing to work hard for this team.

“The goal king (award) is my target. I don’t know if I am under pressure,” Baffour said. “Many did not know me in the league. But now, they do. Defenders are now aware of my goals but it doesn’t put pressure on me.”

“I try to vary my style. I think it rather makes me aware of the challenges and the need to deliver and be consistent.”

The 22-year-old believes the system being practised at the Bekwai-based club gives an equal chance for each player to deliver.

“Hard work in training and on the field backed by my determination to score a goal in each match has helped me so far,” he said.

“If I don’t score in a match, I make sure I make amends in the next game by scoring and helping the team to win.”

“We all play well. The system here allows every player to score. But my role has proved successful and I have scored the most goals.”
