Competition: League One

Market: Oldham to beat Walsall

Odds: 21/20 @ Bet365

Two sides that find themselves firmly at the heart of a relegation battle, on Wednesday night Oldham will welcome Walsall to Boundary Park with just a single spot separating the two sides.

With Oldham appointing Richie Wellens to guide the Latics away from the drop zone back in October, Oldham, much like last season find themselves in a battle at the foot of the table. Now with just a two-point buffer over the drop zone, the Latics have begun to find some form and will be confident of carrying on their recent success. Oldham have now only lost two of their last nine League One outings and hold a stellar record against the teams around them. The Latics are yet to be beaten by a team in the bottom half of the table this season and will be hoping forward Eoin Doyle can once again find his touch, the forward has 13 league goals this season.

As for Walsall, boss Dean Keates is more than aware that despite the Saddlers picking up three points against Bury last time out, the Reds poor run of form now leaves them just a single spot and a single point abover their hosts on Wednesday. Walsall have now lost four of their last five outings and have only a single goal in any of those five. While forward Erhun Oztumer has 14 goals in League One this season, the striker has three goals in his last 13 games, with all of those coming in a single match. It will be their away form that Keates will also be desperate to improve on, Walsall have one win in their last 10 away matches, losing six and drawing three.
