Ozil linked with Mourinho reunion

The Metro understand that Manchester United are ready to move for Mesut Ozil at the end of the season.

The Germany international looks set to leave the Emirates Stadium when his contract expires next summer after negotiations over a new deal broke down back in February.

Ozil worked alongside Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, together winning the Spanish title and cup before the midfielder moved to London.

Since signing for Arsene Wenger’s side the twenty-eight year old has racked up one hundred and sixty-four appearances in all competitions, scoring thirty-two goals while he has helped them win the FA Cup in three of the previous four campaigns.

Internationally he has been capped eighty-six times, scoring twenty-two goals and was part of the squad that won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Ozil is set to line up for Arsenal on Thursday evening as they kick-off their Europa League campaign against FC Koln.
