Parra coy on Universidad switch

Facundo Parra has discussed his prospective move from Independiente to 2011 Copa Sudamericana champions Universidad de Chile.

Following a series of impressive performances throughout 2011, Universidad have been unable to refuse several offers for the stars of the campaign.

Following Eduardo Vargas’ move to Napoli and Marcos Gonzalez’s transfer to Flamengo, the Chilean champions have most recently lost striker Gustavo Canales to Chinese side Dalian Aerbin.

Speculation has linked Independiente striker Parra with a move to Universidad as a replacement for Canales.

Parra told Radio Cooperativa: “Right now I’m going out to meet with my representative, but I’m still not quite sure how things are.

“The offer is interesting, but as long as (Parra’s agent) Leo (Rodriguez) doesn’t tell me anything I cannot get ahead of myself.”
