Tipped by many as favorites to win promotion to the Premier League this year, Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side will look to carry on their impressive start to the new season when they host Preston in the League Cup on Tuesday.

Starting with Bielsa’s side, the hosts have been in impeccable form under the former Argentina boss. Still to be beaten in any competition, Leeds are coming off the back of a 3-0 win over Norwich and no team in the Championship has scored more goals this year. While top scorer Keemar Roofe may be stealing the headlines, summer signing Patrick Bamford is expected to be recalled for their cup match. Scoring against Bolton in the second round, we’re backing the former Boro man to find the net against a struggling Preston side.

As for the visitors, while Alex Neil’s side may have made a late push for the top six last year, it has been a difficult start for Preston. Coming off the back of a 2-0 loss to Derby last time out, the Whites have now lost their last two on the bounce without scoring a single goal in return. Now conceding two in their last three matches, we expect this to be another night’s work against a Leeds side in a fine run of scoring form.
