Football legend Pele said he believes Brazilian outfit Santos will triumph in the Club World Cup final, given their experience winning trophies.
Pele believes that although Barcelona are the superior outfit ahead of Sunday’s final, Santos can triumph on the back of their ability to win silverware when it is on offer.
Speaking to Brazilian publication Folha de Sao Paulo on Saturday, the 71-year-old did not hesitate to brand Pep Guardiola’s men the better club on current form, but maintained that the side led by star striker Neymar have the edge when it comes to finals.
“Right now, Barcelona are definitely the better team,” Pele said.
“But Santos were considered the best in the world for a decade and Barcelona do not have the titles that Santos have.”
