PSV defender Erik Pieters has played in his first football match after a four-month spell on the sidelines through injury.
Pieters suffered a fractured foot in the Eredivisie match against Utrecht in October, which has kept him off the park.
According to Voetbal International, he has resumed training with the squad, and has now played his first minutes since picking up the injury.
The left-back managed to play a full hour in Jong PSV’s 2-1 loss against Jong AZ Alkmaar on Monday.
Pieters hopes to make his senior comeback soon, and attempt to secure a place in the Netherlands squad for Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.
The PSV defender has been included in Bert van Marwijk’s preliminary squad for their friendly with England on February 29.
