West Brom will look to build on their 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers when they tackle Tottenham at home on Saturday.

Tenth in the table following their win over Bolton on Saturday, West Brom will be looking to take points off a rampant Spurs side fresh from a 2-0 triumph over Aston Villa.

Republic of Ireland striker Shane Long returned from a month out with a knee injury to score the winner for West Brom against Bolton but suffered a leg injury at training on Tuesday and will be doubtful against Spurs.

“Shane took a knock yesterday morning so we’re waiting to hear,” West Brom manager Roy Hodgson told the club’s official website.

“When you’ve been out for a month, played 90 minutes and then you train, then quite often something else happens.”

Midfielder Graham Dorrans strained his ankle towards the end of the Bolton match and has not trained this week.

Originally scheduled to return against Tottenham, striker Peter Odemwingie will miss his second successive game with a knee injury.

Utility man Paul Scharner is the closest to being fit after missing the last two games with a grade one tear to the medial ligament in his left knee.

Spurs, meanwhile, have not lost since going down to the two Manchester clubs in August.

Harry Redknapp’s men look likely to take all three points as they aim to close the gap on Manchester United who are four points ahead in second and have played a game more.

Emmanuel Adebayor’s brace against Aston Villa on Monday gave him his fifth goal in nine games, while Gareth Bale has also been in inspired form.

Scott Parker and Luka Modric have combined well this season, with the English midfielder shielding the defence well, leaving Modric with the freedom to create.

Tottenham’s good form even has Redknapp setting his sights on the title.

“The title is a possibility, it’s not impossible. If you keep winning matches and believe in yourself you will do it. If we keep up (our) form, we’ll win the league, but it will be very hard,” Redknapp said.
