PSG want Ben Yedder

According to Le10Sport, Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Sevilla’s Wissam Ben Yedder.

Apparently, the French club see the 28-year-old striker as a potential replacement for Edinson Cavani, should the Uruguay international leave them next summer.

Cavani has been linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 title holders for a long time. In fact, it was back in the days of Zlatan Ibrahimović when the first stories appeared, with Cavani allegedly looking for another place to get more exposure. It was eventually the Swede who left to join Manchester United in 2016, but only a year later the talk took off again after PSG signed Neymar from Barcelona for the still holding world-record fee of €222million. Cavani’s future at the Parc des Princes seems uncertain once more.

Ben Yedder is currently on great form, having scored nine goals in 14 appearances for Sevilla this season, and his partnership with Andre Silva is really starting to blossom. Sport claim he is happy to stay with the Spanish side as at the moment he doesn’t believe he would get much game-time in Paris, but should Cavani leave, the situation would change significantly.
