Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo said the club will only move for Carlos Tevez if AC Milan’s bid collapses.
Milan want to take the Argentine on loan in January with an option to buy at the end of the season but Manchester City are only willing to discuss a permanent transfer.
It has been claimed that PSG are now ready to pounce but while Leonardo admits that the French club are waiting in the wings, he said they will not try to steal Tevez away from the clutches of Milan CEO Adriano Galliani.
“I will not try to disrupt Milan,” the former Milan boss told La Repubblica.
“I have not contacted the player. We are watching (the situation), without disturbing (it).
“Galliani is a mentor for me but if he changes his mind (over the deal), then we will be there.”
Leonardo also revealed that PSG are keen on signing LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham, who is in the French capital to meet with club officials.
“There is interest but it’s up to him to decide and especially his family,” the Brazilian said.
“I spoke to him, he said he is training and able to play (right away).
“He’s a global star. He is not lacking in titles, having also won in America. Above all, he has great professionalism.”
Beckham helped the Galaxy claim the MLS Cup last month but his contract expires this month and could return to Europe after five seasons in the US.
