Rabiot set for Barcelona move

Barcelona are in pole-position to acquire the services of Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot, according to Sport.

The midfielder was set to hold crunch talks with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi after reportedly turning down three proposals of a new contract.

However, the Catalan outlet have relayed an apparent report by RMC Sport that Rabiot has refused to talk to Al-Khelaifi and that he has no intention of signing a new deal, despite the best efforts of the club to have him commit his long-term future to them. This sudden change of heart has come due to him being left out of the squad again.

If so, Sport are adamant that Barcelona are the favorites for his signature, despite the France international being linked with a number of top clubs, including Juventus, Bayern Munich and Liverpool. Their report, meanwhile, leaves the matter of the timing of the transfer unclear, as they cannot say whether it will happen in January or in the summer.
