Race hots up for Pione Sisto

A number of top European sides are showing interest in Midtjylland winger Pione Sisto, according to Ekstra Bladet.

The 21-year-old played a key role in helping the Danish side win an unlikely league title last term, and he has since also impressed on European stage.

Sisto, who would have certainly added to his two Denmark caps if it weren’t for injury problems, is now being heavily linked with a big club move.

The youngster has denied reports that Leicester had made a £12 million bid for his services, but he admits he is ready to embark on a new challenge.

Ekstra Bladed claims that FC Porto have made a number of offers for the talented footballer, but even their highest proposal of €7 million was rejected.

Meanwhile, the Dutch media claim that Eredivisie giants Ajax are keen on the forward who scored 16 goals in 75 league appearances for Midtjylland.
