(GSM) – Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos hopes his former club Sevilla can help them out in the title race by taking points of Barcelona at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday.

With both teams already having exceeded 90 points, Ramos stated that it will be a blow to either side to miss out on the league title after such impressive campaigns.

“I have a lot of contact with several players at Sevilla. If they could manage to take points off Barcelona they would be doing us a great favour. For Barca or for us it will be a blow not to win this title,” he told AS.

The Spain international also declared that his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world and noted that he prefers the Portuguese forward to Barca talisman Lionel Messi.

He [Ronaldo] is the best in the world. We are fortunate to have him. [Lionel] Messi is different and I prefer to have him but not because he is a Madrid player.”
