Real Madrid linked with Lille defender Leny Yoro

Real Madrid have Leny Yoro of Lille on their radar, according to TEAMtalk. The report has noted that Madrid are looking at centre-backs to potentially sign in the January transfer window, and one of the players who has impressed the recruitment team is Yoro.

Madrid are now short in the centre-back position. David Alaba suffered a season-ending ACL injury against Villarreal last weekend. Antonio Rudiger and Nacho are now the two recognised centre-backs for Los Blancos. Aurelien Tchouameni is being trained to play as a central defender despite being a defensive midfielder by trade.

Yoro has been on the books of Lille since 2017 and is now part of the first team. The France Under-21 international centre-back is just 18 years of age and has a bright future ahead of him. Yoro has made 14 starts and one substitute appearance in Ligue 1 for Lille so far this season. He has scored two goals in those games. The teenager has also played three UEFA Europa Conference League matches forthe French club.
