Real to make Mbappe best-paid player in the world

According to Bild, Real Madrid have already reached an agreement with Kylian Mbappe over a free transfer when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season, though the official announcement won’t come from either club or the player until the Champions League round-of-16 tie between Real and PSG is over.

Apparently, the Spanish giants have put together a financial package which would see Mbappe earn €50 million per season gross, making him the best-paid player on the planet. Recognising a lost cause, the Ligue 1 side have given up on trying to convince the 23-year-old forward to sign a new contract and remain in the French capital.

The tussle between these two mighty clubs over the services of one of the hottest prospects in world football has been going on for quite a while, but it seems that PSG, despite their incredible financial power, are unable to topple the historic greatness of the 13-time European champions.

Real are still said to be keen to pair Mbappe up with Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
