Enzo Zidane, the son of football legend Zinedine, has trained with the Real Madrid senior team for the first time.

The 16-year-old was invited to train alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and the rest of the Real Madrid squad under the watchful eye of coach Jose Mourinho.

His father, also a Real sporting director, took a more considered view from the stands.

The youngster is named after the former Uruguay international Enzo Francescoli.

He hass got plenty of the talent that ‘Zizou’ possessed – but has a lot to live up to to surpass his father’s achievements.

Zinedine was voted World Player of the Year three times and is one of the most decorated footballers of all time, having won every major club, international and individual title on offer.

The midfielder starred for European giants Juventus and Real Madrid as well as the most successful French team of all time.

Zidane senior was a World and European champion with his country, but his son might take a different path.

Enzo has already attracted the attentions of the Spanish Football Federation.

Having spent most of his life in Spain, the youngster might not opt to play for France.

And he may not be the only other young Zidane to make a name for himself, with his two brothers, Luca and Theo, also both in the Madrid youth team set up.
