Bayern Munich forward Franck Ribery has sounded an early warning to Napoli ahead of their Champions League Group A match on Wednesday.
The midfielder put the Serie A side on notice by stating that Saturday’s 4-0 Bundesliga win over Nuremberg was a great way to prepare for the encounter.
France international Ribery was among the scorers at the Allianz Arena, as Bayern ensured they stayed top of the Bundesliga table.
Bayern currently lead Champions League Group A with seven points, two ahead of Napoli.
And Ribery is hoping for a better result against their Serie A opponents than the 1-1 draw secured at Stadio San Paolo on October 18.
“The 4-0 win was a great result for us and the fans, and a great way to prepare for the game against Napoli in midweek,” Ribery said.
“We played well. It was a good win against Nuremberg, who are a good side.”
