Franck Ribery has quashed speculation he is set to leave UEFA Champions League winners Bayern Munich.
The France international has been in terrific form for the Bundesliga champions in 2012-13, scoring 11 goals in 42 appearances to put them on the brink of claiming a treble trophy success when they take on Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal final.
That form has seen Ribery linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, but the 30-year-old says he wants to end his career in Bavaria.
“I really hope to continue,” he told RMC. “I want to finish my career here. It’s been six years, I feel good and I’m having fun.
“My wife and children are very happy too. I do not see myself leaving Bayern. If I could be here for the next 10 years that would be great. It really is like a family (at Bayern).
“We are on course for a treble, something that has never been done by a German club, so it would be nice to achieve that. We will do everything we can to get there.”
While Ribery will stay at the club, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed that Anatoliy Tymoshchuk will leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The Bayern chief executive also revealed that Claudio Pizarro and Daniel van Buyten’s futures are set to be discussed in the coming weeks.
“Tymo (Tymoshchuk) has told us he’s going to leave,” he said.
“He’s going to tell us his destination after the cup final. We’ve arranged with Daniel and Claudio to sit down and talk after the cup final.”
