Rio Ferdinand linked with MLS switch

Daily Mirror is reporting that Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand could be moving to the MLS at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old looks set to leave Old Trafford when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign as he will not be offered a new deal by the Red Devils.

And according to Daily Mirror, Ferdinand seems to have decided to move to the MLS and end his playing career there.

He has offers from a number of top sides in the United States, and he has reportedly told his friends that he wants to test his skills in the MLS.

Rio Ferdinand has spent last eleven and a half years at Manchester United, having joined from Leeds and has so far made 305 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils.

The Old Trafford outfit have largely struggled this season and are currently 2/5 for a top 6 finish.
