Roma join race for Hugo Lloris

Il Corriere dello Sport has learned that AS Roma are considering a summer bid for Tottenham Hotspur shot-stopper Hugo Lloris.

The highly rated footballer seems to be growing increasingly frustrated by club’s failure to challenge for a Champions League berth, and he may decide to quit White Hart Lane at the end of the season.

Lloris has so far been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Manchester United, but it looks as though AS Roma are in the mix as well.

It is no secret the Giallorossi are looking to sign a replacement for veteran keeper Morgan De Sanctis, with the Frenchman clearly high on their wish list.

Hugo Lloris has been performing at a very high level ever since he joined Spurs from Lyon and the 28-year-old is widely regarded as one of Premiership’s top goalkeepers.

However, everything suggests he will be forced to leave Tottenham in order to realise his ambitions.
