(GSM) – Roma are keen to keep centre back Nicolas Burdisso on a permanent basis.

Burdisso arrived on loan from Internazionale last summer in a season long loan move and recently admitted that he hopes the club can agree a deal with the Nerazzurri that will see him stay with the capital city outfit.

“For me, Burdisso is fundamental,” Roma boss Claudio Ranieri told to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday.

“I don’t want to think about a Roma without him. I am convinced that the club will do everything to make him available to me,” the tactician revealed.

The 29-year-old’s agent is in Milan to discuss about his client’s future with Inter’s directors.
